Following a jury trial in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, Walter R. Conlin was convicted on eight counts of willfully preparing false and fraudulent Federal income tax returns in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 7206(2). He was also convicted of destroying tax returns filed with the Small Business Administration (18 U.S.C. § 2071(a)) and of submitting to the SBA a copy of an income tax return...
