Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

FEATHERSTON, Judge:

Respondent determined deficiencies in petitioner Paul Monsky's individual Federal income taxes for 1973 and 1974 in the respective amounts of $2,134.01 and $6,608. The issues for decision are:

1. Whether petitioner is entitled to deduct $620 for 1973 and $9501 for 1974 as charitable contributions under section 170(a)(1).2
