The defendant, Isaac Romas Buckner, was convicted of the December 25, 1972 murder of Lawson Murell. Howard O. Murell, the brother of the deceased, testified to the following: On the night of December 24, 1972, he was awakened by someone knocking at the door of the apartment that he shared with his brother.
