This case resulted from the fatal fall of a 22-month-old child from the balcony of a fifth-floor apartment in a building owned by Messrs. Noble, Abrams, and Bassin. The building had been designed by Noble, an architect.1 The defendants appeal from a verdict against them in the amount of $35,997, based upon their allegedly negligent maintenance of the balcony.
