Defendant, Willie Collins, initiated this appeal from the judgment of the Circuit Court of Peoria County entered on a jury verdict finding the defendant guilty of theft. On March 18, 1975, the defendant was arrested and charged by complaint with obtaining control over a stolen microwave oven. Subsequently, on March 20, 1975, the defendant was indicted for "exerting control" over the microwave...
