Plaintiff is a former Assistant Professor in the Education Program at Swarthmore College ("Swarthmore"). On February 29, 1972, plaintiff received notification from Swarthmore that she would not be reappointed as an Assistant Professor for the 1972-73 academic year due to "logistical" considerations.
