Green Company, brought suit against defendant, City of San Augustine, for $57,736.87 the balance allegedly due under a contract for the construction of a sanitary sewer system for the City. The City answered with a general denial and set up certain offsets and credits allegedly due it for overcharges on equipment rental and for liquidated damages for failure to timely complete the contract.
