On October 20, 1967 the workmen's compensation hearing referee found Ronald Stottlemeyer to be "disabled in the field of maintenance work due to moderately severe pulmonary emphysema and fibrosis with chronic bronchitis which were caused by exposure to dust, fumes and other irritants during the period of his employment with his last employer, General Motors Corporation, and with his prior employers." Separate decisions on the same day apportioned the liability...
