This is an action for personal injury sustained by plaintiff when, on August 24, 1970, the car which he was driving was struck in the rear by a motor vehicle belonging to the defendant and driven by one of its employees. The plaintiff had been forced to stop his vehicle quickly because a vehicle ahead of him had stopped.
