PEARSON, J.

William Malbeck appeals his conviction of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a controlled substance. The single issue is whether the trial court erred in denying the defendant's motion to suppress the drugs, hypodermic needles, and syringes found during a search of his car. We affirm the conviction for the reasons discussed below.
