OPINION OF THE COURT

ROBERTS, Justice.

Appellant Norman Bullard was convicted after a jury trial of murder in the first degree. After post-trial motions were denied, judgment of sentence of life imprisonment was imposed. Appellant contends that statements given to police after he was taken into custody should have been suppressed. We agree, reverse the judgment of sentence and grant a new trial.
