LEVINE, J., delivered the opinion of the Court.

The single question presented here is whether appellant was entitled to recover punitive damages in an action for conversion stemming from the wrongful repossession of his automobile. In the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, the trial judge (Powers, C.J.) ruled that there was sufficient evidence to submit the punitive damage issue to the jury, which returned a verdict of $5,000. The Court of Special Appeals reversed...
