Defendant Donald Taylor was indicted, along with five others, by a Lake County grand jury for the murder and armed robbery of William Richter and attempted murder of James Davis. Defendant Taylor was tried separately and found guilty of murder and attempt murder and not guilty of armed robbery by a jury. He was given two concurrent sentences of 40 to 120 years each.
