In this annexation case, the trial court awarded the Town of Christiansburg 3.028 square miles of Montgomery County territory adjacent to town boundaries.1 In its decree, the court ordered the Town to pay the County $18,150 annually for five years for the County's prospective loss of alcoholic beverage control profits and sales and use taxes attributable to the annexed area.
