After eight weeks of trial encompassing some seventy-three witnesses and one hundred eighty-six exhibits, defendant was convicted of armed bank robbery under 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), (d) and use of a firearm to commit a felony under 18 U.S.C. § 924(c).
