Defendant Frank Griffith, Jr., appeals from a conviction and sentence of 4 to 5 years' imprisonment for rape imposed after a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Adams County. The offense is alleged to have occurred during early morning hours. About noon of that day, defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Courthouse.
