In the fall of 1974, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) published notice of proposed standards regulating the use of vinyl chloride and certain carcinogens. On December 17, 1974, the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG) timely submitted written comments and requested a public hearing on the proposed standards.
