In a trial before a jury, appellant was convicted of murder. Punishment was assessed at life imprisonment.
The indictment alleged the cause of death as being "by strangling her with his hands, and by strangling her with a cord, and by strangling her with a wire, and by strangling her with a belt, and by strangling her in a manner to the Grand Jurors unknown."
