After trial to a jury appellant was convicted on each of eight counts of an indictment charging him with making false statements in loan applications, and causing false entries to be made in bank records. 18 U.S.C. §§ 1005 and 1014 (1970). The court sentenced him to 60 days imprisonment and a probationary term of two years concurrent on all counts.
