This is an appeal from the denial by the district court of appellant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus challenging his confinement following a Kentucky state court conviction of wilful murder. We consider whether the Confrontation Clause of the Sixth Amendment1 precludes: (1) the admission of hearsay testimony by a local police officer about the result of a ballistics test conducted by an FBI laboratory technician...
