On April 22, 1974, defendant was placed on two years' probation after pleading guilty in Wayne County Circuit Court to a charge of assault with intent to rob being armed. MCLA 750.89; MSA 28.284. Subsequently, pursuant to an order to show cause, defendant was returned to Wayne County Circuit Court in order to face a charge of probation violation.
