The question in this case is whether the district court abused its discretion restricting cross-examination of a prosecution witness by a defendant in a criminal case. Garrett was convicted on one count of distributing heroin and one of distributing cocaine. The chief witness against him was Roger Lehman, a Detroit Police Officer with nearly five years experience.
