This is a suit for workmen's compensation benefits. Defendant filed an exception of prescription which was referred to the merits and sustained after completion of the trial. Plaintiff has appealed.

On July 25, 1973, while employed as a patrolman in the police department of the City of Lake Charles, plaintiff injured his right knee when he fell while dismounting from a scooter-like patrol vehicle. He was hospitalized twice...
