Appellant was put to trial upon an indictment which, omitting the formal parts, reads as follows:

"The Grand Jury of said County, charge, that before the finding of this indictment, Samuel Lavone Peavy, alias Samuel Lovone Peavy, alias Samuel L. Peavy, whose name respectively is unknown to the Grand Jury other than as stated, did intentionally and unlawfully, possess, sell, furnish, or give away, to-wit: dl Amphetamine, a controlled substance...
