Appellant was convicted of murder in the first degree and the jury fixed his punishment at imprisonment in the penitentiary for life. He was sentenced in accordance with the verdict of the jury. At arraignment, with his counsel present, he pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of insantiy. After sentence was imposed, he gave notice of appeal.
