The defendant pleaded guilty to the offense of burglary on October 31, 1974, and was granted two years' probation. A petition to revoke probation was filed by the State on December 24, 1974. At a subsequent hearing the court found that the defendant had violated the terms of his probation and sentenced him to two to six years in the penitentiary.
