Jerry Ghoram was indicted by the grand jury for the Parish of East Baton Rouge for the murder of George Davis committed on December 27, 1972. After trial by jury, defendant was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. On appeal, Ghoram's conviction and sentence were reversed and the case remanded for a new trial. State v.
