Appellant was indicted for murder in the first degree. He was represented at arraignment and trial by two experienced trial lawyers retained by him and his family. He pleaded not guilty. The jury found appellant guilty of manslaughter in the first degree and fixed his punishment at ten years in the penitentiary.
