Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of the kidnaping and armed robbery of Morris Franklin and the aggravated kidnaping and attempt (armed robbery) of Joan Bellaire in violation of section 10-1, 18-2, 10-2, and 8-4 of the Criminal Code of 1961. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 38, par. 10-1, 18-2, 10-2, and 8-4.) He was sentenced to concurrent terms in the penitentiary...
