Plaintiff appeals from an order denying his petition for a limited restoration of driving privileges. We are asked to define the extent of a trial judge's power to grant or deny such petitions.

Plaintiff was arrested on June 10, 1975, and charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, MCLA 257.625; MSA 9.2325. He ultimately pled guilty to driving while his ability was impaired by intoxicating liquor, MCLA 257.625b; MSA 9.2325...
