This case is sequel to Jones v. Commonwealth, 217 Va. ___, 228 S.E.2d 124 (1976), and involves the same defendant, Carson Alvin Jones, and the same shooting incident. With a single shotgun blast, the defendant killed Billy Hugh Sutphin and wounded Jeral Lee Gillispie.
