This is an expropriation suit brought by the Louisiana Department of Highways in which the defendant landowner, Ray Johnson, has appealed, alleging that the trial court erred in offsetting benefits to the remaining property against severance damages to Johnson's home, caused by increased proximity to the highway right-of-way.
