The defendants were charged in separate counts with conspiring to aid and abet in the placing of an explosive with intent to destroy and conspiracy to murder one Myron J. Whipple. After a nonjury trial, the court found defendants guilty of the second count, conspiracy to murder. The defendants were sentenced to 15 to 25 years in prison.
