The sole issue on this appeal is whether Dorothy Dury's (plaintiff's) prior general release of the defendant (Frank Dunadee) bars her present action against this defendant for contribution under CPLR 1401 (Dole v Dow Chem. Co., 30 N.Y.2d 143).
