J.E. Wilson, appellee/cross-appellant, was convicted, after trial by jury, of possession of a pistol by a criminal in violation of ARS § 13-919. He was convicted as a misdemeanant; fined in the amount of $200, with a surcharge of $20; and was placed on probation for a period of 11 months and 29 days. The trial court thereafter amended the sentence by striking the provision relating to probation. The Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction but...
