Defendant was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) contrary to MCLA 335.341(1)(b); MSA 18.1070(41)(1)(b). At an evidentiary hearing, the trial court found that defendant had been entrapped into committing the offense and dismissed the case.

At the hearing, Mark Parin, an undercover narcotics officer assigned to the Michigan State Police, testified that on October 17, 1973, he was instructed to attempt to purchase cocaine...
