These consolidated direct criminal appeals are taken following the verdict of the trial court1 that appellants herein were guilty of attempting to interfere with United States Marshals and FBI agents during a civil disorder at Wounded Knee, South Dakota, in 1973 in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 231(a)(3).2
