The defendant, Eddie Williams, was charged with the offense of attempt robbery. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, pars. 8-4(a), 18-1(a).) He was found guilty in a nonjury trial and was sentenced to a term of two to six years in the penitentiary. He contends that he was not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and that in any event a conviction for attempt robbery...
