Defendant-appellant Jean Goodrich, (hereinafter appellant), was charged with murder in the second degree (I.C. § 18-4003) arising out of the fatal shooting of her ex-husband Brent Goodrich. The shooting occurred during the early morning hours of October 17, 1973, at approximately 12:30 a.m. at appellant's home in the city of Pocatello.
