MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

MAHON, District Judge.

These two cases present a common issue of jurisdiction under Title I of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, Pub.L. 93-406 (2 Sept. 1974), 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq. [hereinafter "the Act"]. Both cases were originally filed in state court and removed to this federal district court by the common Defendant, General Motors Corporation [hereinafter "Defendant"].1
