This appeal involves what started out basically an action in replevin but became complex litigation as a result of a counterclaim by the defendant-appellant, William James Murphy, against the plaintiff-appellee, on top of which was imposed a third-party complaint by the defendant against the third-party defendants-appellees, Gerald D. Smith and the Balboa Insurance Company, the latter joining Eugene F. Murphy and Barbara J. Murphy, husband and wife...
