PAOLINO, Justice.

This is a petition for a writ of habeas corpus to admit the petitioner to bail pending trial.

On December 25, 1974, petitioner was arrested for the murder of Robert Eastland, alias Marion Jones. He made a written confession the same evening. At a hearing held to determine whether he should be released pending trial, the hearing judge, relying primarily on the confession, stated "the proof of guilt is clear" and determined...
