On January 21, 1974, appellant Otis Bowen (Bowen) suffered a trimaleolar fracture of his ankle in the course of his employment for Maplewood Packing Company, Inc. (Maplewood). The parties entered into a compensation agreement on February 4, 1974 pursuant to which Bowen received payment for total incapacity from the date of the accident.
