Ronald L. Estus was convicted after a jury trial on seven counts of an eight-count indictment charging him with submitting false sick leave requests while employed as a mail clerk in the United States Postal Service in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001. Appellant's sole contention on appeal is that § 1001 is not applicable to false statements made by Postal Service employees to the Postal Service and consequently, that the indictment was defective...
