Shaver Transportation Company (Shaver) sued two grain merchants, Louis Dreyfus Corporation (Dreyfus) and Lees-Carney & Co. (Lees-Carney), to collect demurrage charges for delays in the unloading of two barges.1 Dreyfus filed third-party complaints against Condon Grain Growers, Inc.
