This is an admiralty cargo action, tried to the Court, involving 268 coils of electrical steel sheets being transported from Baltimore, Maryland to Constanza, Romania aboard defendant's vessel, the S.S. ITALIA ("ITALIA") in January and February of 1971. The coils were loaded on board the ITALIA on or about January 8, 1971 at Baltimore, Maryland, and defendant issued a clean bill of lading No. 1 (Exhibit 1). The cargo was outturned...
