On August 18 defendants City of Chicago, et al., submitted for approval a roster of 1091 candidates for appointment to the Chicago Police Department. These candidates consist of 550 well qualified and 541 qualified persons who have been chosen pursuant to the City's new methods of selecting police officers. The submission is here pursuant to paragraph II-D of the order of April 17, 1975 regarding selection procedures...
