The appellants, Michael Leon McCree, Robert Lavern Dixon and John Junior Garris, were tried jointly by a Baltimore City jury, presided over by Judge Basil A. Thomas, upon charges of murder and armed robbery. The appellants McCree and Dixon were convicted of murder in the first degree and armed robbery and were sentenced to consecutive terms of life imprisonment and ten years.
