The defendant, Frederick D. Banks, III, was found guilty by a jury on charges of robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was sentenced to confinement in the Nebraska Penal and Correctional Complex for a term of 5 to 10 years on the robbery charge and to a consecutive term of 3 years on the firearm charge.
