Appellees move to dismiss this appeal on the ground that it was taken untimely, under rule 4(a), F.R.A.P., and that this court, therefore, lacks jurisdiction. The district court entered an order on June 17, 1976, dismissing appellant's cause of action. Appellant served a copy of his notice of appeal on opposing counsel on July 19, 1976, but did not file a notice of appeal with the clerk of the District Court for the Northern District of Texas...
